Our ice began moving through the community late this afternoon and continues to gradually move further below the municipality this evening.
The Tinker Dam is currently spilling ice.  The tinker ice and accompanying slug of water will result in water levels increasing overnight.
The ice cover seems to be very deteriorated which will result in jams with less holding power.  We will continue to monitor with NB Power overnight.
Rain and warmer temperatures will result in a significant increase in water flows this week.  Flows are anticipated to increase from 62,500 this morning to 97,500 on Saturday.

As always, we encourage property owners to monitor the river and take steps to reduce the impact of possible flooding.

Please see the stats below with projected the weather and river flows.  Be sure to visit our bridge cam.

Please - Stay away from the edge of the river!
